my bliss project

In 2017 I turned forty, was diagnosed with the chronic disease, endometriosis, had a gruelling surgery, dealt with a cancer scare and quit my previously much-loved job after thirteen rewarding years. I had begun to feel unfulfilled, directionless and so bogged down in the trenches of the everyday realities of life as a busy lawyer and mum that I felt I had lost sight of....well.....me: my passions, my creativity, the things that make me tick. With the full support of my long suffering husband, Mr H, I took a huge leap of faith in December 2017 to quit my job and take some time off to unplug, heal and re-energise. Unable to completely relax, I decided to give myself a little self-care project: a year to rediscover what personal bliss means to me, in all areas of my life.  Ideally this would be a year of self-actualisation: to explore what fulfils me in my forties, follow my passions, spend time being a present mum to our son, be a better friend, contribute to the island community that I love, get strong and healthy and formulate an everlasting framework for fulfilment, purpose, happiness and connection so that I can eventually transition back into a career feeling better than ever - energised, focused and calm with the tools necessary to sustain a happy, fulfilling and balanced life. Is this possible!? We will see. I expect it to be an interesting and rewarding journey and would love for you to join me.
